Level C Activities

• Complete coin match-up folder

• Skip count by fives and tens to 100

• Identify coins needed to buy an item in the class store

• Sort coins by denomination

• Count nickels to 100

• Count dimes to 100

• Play coin exchange game

• Use 2 different combinations of coins to add up to $ .25; $ .50

• Play money bingo

• Use money stamps to complete money flashcards.

• Complete coin identification coloring worksheet

• Upon request, point to coin named

• Read a book on money & answer 5 comprehension questions

Level B Activities (pick one)

• Make a catalogue of 10-20 items with prices

• View classroom video on minting money.  Make a Kid Pix slide show for the class about it.

• Complete a family trip to the store to find prices of items on worksheet & fill in prices

Level C Activities (pick one)

• Find out the history behind the making of each coin.  Make a written or oral report to the class.

• Research one of the following: Kennedy half-dollar, Susan B. Anthony coin, the silver dollar.  Present the information to the class via one of the following:  written/oral report, puppet show, power point presentation, Kid Pix slide show, etc.
